Creating my track

I started my track by creating a deep growling bass reflecting what a long stomach growl might sound like which I moved to 20 seconds into the track. I then used the piano roll to create a pattern for my stomach punch drums and added a bitcrusher to it as well as bending the pitch at the beginning. After this I added a pounding 909 drum pattern to thicken the drums to make the track feel heavier and to also help achieve the rigid drums of industrial music. After this using the drums I laid out a structure for my track using different drum patterns.

I then wrote a bassline inspired by 80s videogame music style, when this bassline comes in, to achieve a more playful sound I automated the coarse tune of the stomach punch to sweep up into a swishing sound which juxtaposes the deep growling bass and the 909. I included this bassline later on in the track and changed some notes to be out of key, this was inspired by Pete Um whose music sounds frightening and disturbing with many of his tracks featuring out of key sections that contribute to the frightening atmosphere he creates.

I also included a section utilising the playful swishing sound from the stomach punches beginning at 1:07, I found using the sound of a violent act to create a percussive section that sounds playful and slightly melodic to be quite a poetic part of the process, It was like I was disarming any doubts I have.
