The sound walk I did in Forest Hill started off to be very disorienting, it was unusual to have my most primary sense stripped away and to lay my trust in my partner. We started in the public park area and made our way past the people and ended up walking the bulk of the sound walk through the woods, because of this at the beginning there was way more city noise and sounds of people whereas as we made our way through the forest it began to be more nature focused with sounds of the wind and wildlife.
One downside of doing a soundwalk with such a large group is that when you are trying to listen to the soundscape you can hear the group around you, I could hear sounds of footsteps, voices and people tripping over roots. In future I will undertake sound walks either with smaller groups or just in a pair.
