Within the contact mic workshop I soldered together a contact mic. We began by stripping wires and attaching two piezo discs, and then attaching a jack output on the other end. We intended to dip the contact mic into a plasti-dip but ran out of time.
I have tested my contact mic using my guitar amplifier and effects pedals using different objects from my flat to make noise by attaching the mic to them using tape. The contact mic allowed for me to make close recordings of things. I also took the contact mic to the millennium footbridge and attached it to the wires and hit them turning them into an instrument.
